Creating ships

Ships in colonies are built with projects you design. In the beginning of a game, you already have 5 ship projects, as technology develops, you can improve them. The design dialog box is available through the game menu or by pressing the "9" key on the phone.

Each ship consists of the following component parts:

  • Hull - determines the size of the ship.
  • Engine - determines the speed of the ship, high-class ships must be equipped with several engines. A ship's speed depends on its engines and weight.
  • Armor - determines the protection of the ship, several layers of armor can be installed.
  • Computer - determines the rate of fire of the ship's arms.
  • Armament - determine the intensity of the ship's attack. Armament can be of one type only but in any quantity.

When designing a ship, pay attention to free space, if it is less than zero, the ship cannot be built under this project.

A designed ship will have a cost that determines the amount of manufacturing resources required for its construction. A ship with a lower cost is constructed faster than a ship with a higher price.
