Game Description

Rise of Antares is a turn based space strategy. You play for a interstellar corporations contesting the rights of domination over the galaxy.

During the game you make decisions on resource allocation for the colonies under your control. You must determine what each colony should produce and together with your scientists you will research new technologies and expand your influence by colonizing new stellar systems or fighting adversaries.

In the game you can build different spacecrafts: from small pursuit crafts to large interstellar battleships. You independently design spacecraft projects defining the type and level of engines, armor, and armament.

All scientific research in the game is divided into three main categories: theoretical research, technological and historical studies of ancient artifacts found in new stellar systems during the game.

A player's theoretical knowledge determines the range of technologies available for research. Technology, in its turn, allows you equip ships with more advanced equipment and erect new construction types in new colonies.

  • Resource allocation in colonies, ability to build up to 28 construction types;
  • Designing various men-of-war, from pursuit crafts to battleships. The player designs the ship independently, mounts engines (up to 5 types), armor (up to 6 types), armament (up to 14 types);
  • Multi-level technology development. The science tree is divided into 5 theoretical levels, each enabling research of up to 12 applied technologies (new spacecraft component parts, new constructions etc.)
  • Large-scale space battles.
  • Computer adversaries can have several types of specialization: military, scientific, manufacturing. The game also provides 3 levels of complexity.
  • Auto saving the game.
