For example, mountains are hard to pass through, but they hold a lot of minerals for mining. |

Snow is also hard to pass, but doesn't provide you with any resources. |

Emissary - the most important figure in the game. When the emissary dies, it's game over. That is why you should guard him in well-defended city. If you manage to destroy the emissary of a hostile clan, the race which he once controlled will cease any aggression towards you. Also, they will gladly surrender their towns to you without struggle. |

Towns are the base of your state. The most important functions of towns are development of science, training units and the annual collection of gold and minerals. Around the center of your town you may develop the buildings to improve some certain things. The speed of building and training depends on population, and population in its turn depends on town's ability to feed its citizens.

Units The citizens of towns may be trained to become peaceful or military units. The upkeep of units shall cost you annual payment equal to its health. Sea units (ships) may get land units aboard to transport them to other continent. Any unit standing close to enemy one may participate in battle. The chance of success depends on such parameters as attack, defence, experience and health.

You must develop other types of units and buildings before you will be able to produce them. All the towns produce an annual amount of science points, and after reaching a certain limit the new technology comes into play.
